Tragic Shooting Claims Life of 19-Year-Old at Infamous Atlanta Apartment Complex

A 19-year-old was shot and killed late Thursday at the City Views at Rosa Burney Park apartment complex in southwest Atlanta, according to police. Officers arrived around 9:45 p.m. to find the victim with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The complex has a history of crime, with 59 reported incidents from 2017 to July 2023, and was previously targeted for chronic crime issues before being removed from a city list in January 2023.
