University of Georgia student Elle Eisele, critically injured in the New Year's Day terror attack in New Orleans, was reunited in the hospital with her friend Steele Idelson, who was also hurt. The two 19-year-olds, graduates of the Canterbury School in Fort Myers, Florida, expressed gratitude for their survival and the support they received. The attack, carried out by Shamsud-Din Jabbar, resulted in multiple injuries and his death during a police shootout, with Jabbar previously showing allegiance to ISIS.
