Woman Shot and Killed by Law Enforcement During Bartow County Traffic Stop Investigation Underway

A woman identified as Carrie Hall, 50, of Cartersville, was shot and killed by law enforcement during a traffic stop in Bartow County on Wednesday night after she exited her vehicle armed with a gun. The incident began when a homeowner called 911 reporting Hall had fired a gun at their residence. Despite repeated commands to drop her weapon, Hall did not comply, leading officers to fire at her; she was later pronounced dead at a hospital. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting an investigation, which will be submitted to the Bartow County District Attorney's Office for review.
