3 Year Old Found Alone at Atlanta Doorstep Sparks Child Cruelty Investigation and Parental Arrests

A 3-year-old boy was discovered alone in his underwear at a man's front door in southeast Atlanta late Wednesday, prompting a 911 call reporting his distress. The child, who appeared malnourished and had scratches, was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, while his mother, 30-year-old Lakisha Holmes, and stepfather, 30-year-old Andre Roundtree, were arrested the following morning and charged with cruelty to children and reckless conduct. Roundtree also faced an additional charge of obstruction after becoming combative during the arrest, and both are being held in Fulton County jail as the investigation continues.
