Amazon to Open Massive New Sorting Center in Hogansville Georgia Creating Over 1000 Jobs by 2027

On Monday, Amazon announced plans to open a new 1.6 million-square-foot package sorting center in Hogansville, Georgia, about an hour southwest of downtown Atlanta, which is expected to employ over 1,000 full- and part-time workers when it opens in 2027. This facility will be Amazon's third in Georgia, contributing to the company's $18.5 billion investment in the state since 2010, as well as enhancing the logistics network in rural communities. Governor Brian Kemp highlighted the creation of jobs and the ongoing commitment to provide opportunities across Georgia.
