On Sunday evening in Turner County, Ashburn police shot 33-year-old Tadrian Holsey after he allegedly pointed a gun at an officer while fleeing a traffic stop. The incident occurred during a checkpoint when officers detected marijuana in the vehicle, prompting them to pull over the car. Holsey, who attempted to escape, was shot after pointing a gun at the officers and is currently hospitalized, with the GBI conducting an independent investigation into the shooting.
