Atlanta Officer Garrett Rolfe Faces New Assault Charges After Midtown Bar Fight

Atlanta police officer Garrett Rolfe is facing criminal charges for simple assault following an altercation outside X Midtown bar on June 29. Rolfe, who was off-duty and allegedly involved in a fight with a bar employee, has been placed on administrative leave as the case is forwarded to the Fulton County Solicitor General’s Office for review. This incident marks the second time Rolfe has faced charges since the fatal shooting of Rayshard Brooks in 2020, which previously resulted in dropped charges and his temporary firing from the police department.
