CDC Shooting Update: DeKalb Officer Killed as Investigation Unfolds in Atlanta

Investigators are set to provide additional information on Tuesday regarding the shooting that occurred at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta last week. DeKalb County police officer David Rose was fatally shot while responding to the incident, which also resulted in the death of the gunman and damage to several windows at the CDC campus. As a precaution, employees at the CDC will be teleworking for the week.
