KERRVILLE, Texas — Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha reported that 11 campers and a camp counselor remain missing following devastating floods that have claimed nearly 70 lives since Friday. The floods, which surged 26 feet in just 45 minutes, primarily affected Kerr County, where most victims were children camping along the Guadalupe River. Search efforts continue with helicopters, boats, and drones, as officials face scrutiny over the adequacy of flood warnings in an area known for its vulnerability to such disasters.
