Cherokee County Man Charged with Murder in Domestic Shooting of Wife as Homicide Rates Remain Low

Kelvin Williams, 47, has been charged with murder, first-degree cruelty to children, and two counts of aggravated assault following the shooting death of his wife, Tenisha Williams, 48, in Cherokee County on Sunday evening. The incident occurred during a domestic dispute at their home on Daventry Crossing, where deputies found Tenisha dead from an apparent gunshot wound. This marks only the second homicide investigated by Cherokee County deputies this year, with the first occurring in February.
