Rodney Jacob Sanders, 26, has been sentenced to life in prison without parole after being convicted of voluntary manslaughter and five counts of felony murder in connection with a botched robbery that resulted in the death of 19-year-old Aiden Kane Shaw in Acworth, Cobb County, on May 16, 2023. Sanders orchestrated a home invasion with three accomplices, who testified against him; they received sentences ranging from 15 to 25 years. The incident escalated when the intruders attempted to force their way into Shaw's apartment, leading to his fatal shooting.
