Columbus Man Shot After Gunfight With Police Officer During Domestic Dispute

A 25-year-old man, Jacob Kyle Brannon, was shot early Thursday morning following an exchange of gunfire with a police officer in Columbus, Georgia. The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. during a response to a domestic dispute, where Brannon allegedly fired at the officer before being struck multiple times in return fire. He is currently in stable condition at a hospital and will be booked into the Muscogee County Jail after his release, with charges pending.
