Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens appointed Courtney English as interim chief of staff on Monday following the resignation of Odie Donald last month. English, a former chair of the Atlanta Board of Education and affordable housing expert, has been with the Dickens administration since 2022 and has led initiatives resulting in 11,000 affordable housing units and over $30 million in youth programs. In his new role, English expressed his commitment to advancing the Mayor's vision for the city, while also addressing past ethics complaints and a recent inquiry related to his previous work with a nonprofit.
