Two defendants, Timothy Coleman, 20, and Kingston Cottman, 18, were sentenced to a combined total of 320 years in prison for their roles in a shooting at a Sweet 16 party in Douglasville on March 4, 2023, which left two teenagers dead and eight others injured. They were found guilty of multiple charges, including aggravated assault and violations of Georgia's Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, after prosecutors established that they brought guns to confront another teen over a social media dispute. A third defendant, Tahkel Beverly-Smart, received a 20-year sentence for a gang charge, while other co-defendants have also been sentenced for their involvement in the incident.
