The Downtown Connector in Atlanta was shut down for over two hours in both directions on Friday evening due to an incident near Peachtree and Pine streets, beginning around 6 p.m. Atlanta police and medical personnel responded to the scene, and the area was cleared by 8:30 p.m., allowing traffic to resume. Motorists are advised to use Northside Drive, Peachtree Street, or I-285 as alternate routes until congestion eases.
