Alex Ross, a former deputy in two Georgia sheriff's offices, was arrested on Monday in Cobb County for allegedly assaulting three women, including two law enforcement officers. The 49-year-old is facing multiple felony charges, including aggravated battery and willful obstruction of law enforcement, after an incident at the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council where he reportedly attempted to grab an officer's firearm. Ross, who has a history of misconduct allegations, had his certification suspended for three years and was recently employed as a detention officer in North Carolina before his arrest.
