Georgia Supreme Court Upholds Murder Convictions of Young Slime Life Defendants Blalock and Ryan
On Tuesday, the Georgia Supreme Court upheld the murder convictions of Damone Blalock and Rodalius Ryan, who were sentenced to life in prison for the 2019 death of Jamari Holmes. The pair, indicted in May 2022 alongside Atlanta rapper Young Thug on RICO charges, claimed ineffective counsel during their trial, but the court found no merit in their arguments. Ryan later pleaded guilty to a single RICO charge and was sentenced to 10 years, while Blalock's charges were dropped after co-defendants were acquitted.
