Gun-Wielding Resident Sparks SWAT Standoff at Four Seasons Midtown in Atlanta

On Tuesday morning, a disturbance at the Four Seasons Midtown led to a confrontation with 70-year-old resident Jay Steven Berger, who reportedly pointed a gun at the condominium's resident manager. Berger, known for mental health issues and possessing weapons and Nazi paraphernalia, fired over a dozen shots during a standoff with police, injuring himself and a SWAT officer. After hours of negotiation and police response, Berger was apprehended following being shot by a SWAT sniper, and he now faces aggravated assault charges while recovering in the hospital.
