The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance in locating Justin Perry Hurst, 36, who is accused of stabbing an off-duty metro Atlanta officer following a hit-and-run incident on Saturday night. The altercation began on I-20 near Panola Road in DeKalb County after Hurst crashed into the officer's vehicle and fled the scene, leading to a confrontation in Rockdale County where the stabbing occurred. Hurst, who is considered armed and dangerous, was last seen driving a white 2019 Volkswagen Passat, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact the sheriff’s office at 770-278-8000.
