A Rockdale County mother, Gloria Wright, 23, has been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree child cruelty following the death of her 1-year-old child, who died from blunt force trauma to the head. The incident occurred on January 8 when deputies responded to a call about a child not breathing, but despite resuscitation efforts, the child was pronounced dead at the hospital.
