Jasmine Black, a 48-year-old resident of Locust Grove, died in a mid-air collision during her 163rd skydive at Skydive Atlanta on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred when her parachute struck another skydiver's parachute at 800 feet, leading to a fatal entanglement despite her attempts to deploy a backup parachute. This marks the third fatality at the Skydive Atlanta site since 2020, with the Federal Aviation Administration now investigating the incident.
