Three Arrested in Covington Gas Station Shooting that Claimed Life of 18-Year-Old College-Bound Student
More than a month after 18-year-old Da’Menica Deshaun Roddy was fatally shot at a Chevron gas station in Covington on July 21, three suspects have been arrested and charged with murder and making false statements to law enforcement. The suspects, all 19 years old and from Covington, are Tirell Tommie, Israel Richardson, and Savion Walker, who was apprehended at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The motive behind the targeted shooting remains unclear, and all three suspects are currently held without bond at the Newton detention center.
