Three Children Hospitalized After Southwest Atlanta Apartment Fire Linked to Kitchen Appliance

Three children were hospitalized for smoke inhalation following an apartment fire at the Country Oaks Apartments in southwest Atlanta on Wednesday. Firefighters were on the scene in the 300 block of Fairburn Road, evacuating two additional residents after extinguishing the fire, which is believed to be related to a kitchen appliance. Investigators are currently working to determine the exact cause of the blaze, which caused damage confined to one upstairs apartment.
