On Wednesday morning, a bomb threat was reported at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Hughes Spalding hospital, prompting a swift response from law enforcement, who confirmed no hazards were found. Simultaneously, Mercer University in Macon ordered students to shelter in place due to a similar threat, which was also deemed unfounded after a police sweep.
