Gwinnett County Inmate Dies After Medical Emergency in Jail Investigation Underway

Phillip Antwon Munroe, an inmate at the Gwinnett County jail, died following a medical emergency on January 27, 2023. He was discovered unresponsive during a routine security check around 2:30 a.m. and, despite medical assistance, was pronounced dead at the scene.
