Man Shot Dead at Magnolia Park Apartments in Northwest Atlanta Amid Ongoing Crime Concerns

A 40-year-old man was shot and killed at the Magnolia Park apartments in northwest Atlanta on Thursday afternoon around 4 p.m., according to Atlanta police. The victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The Magnolia Park complex has a history of crime, having recorded 161 incidents from 2017 to July 2023, including two homicides and multiple assaults, and was identified in July 2022 as a property targeted for chronic crime issues.
