Helio Garcia, a 47-year-old officer with the South Fulton Police Department, was killed in a head-on crash while on duty on September 26, 2023. Garcia, who joined the department shortly after its establishment in 2018, was remembered for his dedication to service and his love for his family, leaving behind a wife and three children. His funeral service will take place on October 2, 2023, at World Changers Church International in College Park, and he will be laid to rest in Miami beside a son.
