Teenager Fatally Shot at Troubled Atlanta Apartment Complex Sparking Community Outrage

A 17-year-old was shot and killed late Tuesday at the Villages at Carver apartment complex in southwest Atlanta. Police responded to a call about the shooting around 11:30 p.m. and found the teenager with gunshot wounds; he was later pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital. Investigators have not yet determined a motive or identified any suspects, and the complex has a history of violent incidents, including multiple fatalities in recent years.
